Madness In Winter
Surviving the Madness of Winter
In winter’s grasp, the world stands still,
A frozen land devoid of thrill,
The biting cold, a constant chill,
Madness takes hold, against our will.
The skies are gray, the days are short,
The barren fields, a grim report,
Our hearts grow heavy, filled with woe,
The endless white, a suffocating snow.
In this season of stark despair,
We long for warmth and brighter air,
But trapped in winter’s icy lair,
We feel the madness creeping there.
The mind grows weary, thoughts askew,
The frozen world distorts our view,
The howling winds, a mournful dirge,
Our souls, aching with winter’s scourge.
And yet, amidst this frozen pain,
A glimmer of hope, a fragile refrain,
The promise of spring, a distant shore,
A new beginning, a hope to restore.
So hold on tight, dear soul of mine,
Through the cold and endless time,
For though this winter seems unkind,
A new dawn awaits, a hope to find.
